Nutritional Behavior Modification

Nutrition and Counseling Working Together

Our Nutritional Behavior Modification program combines nutrition counseling with behavioral support to help individuals develop healthier relationships with food. This integrated approach addresses both nutrition and the underlying behaviors that may contribute to eating disorders and disordered eating.

Program Overview

Let’s fully discuss our Eating Disorders treatment program. Obviously we treat the expected EDO’s:

  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Bulimia Nervosa
  • ARFID
  • Binge Eating
  • Picky Eaters Syndrome

We also treat disordered eating. In certain populations, we often find clinical predispositions to disordered eating. Such as Prader Willi, where the feeling of being full is not realized.

To effectively treat disordered eating and eating disorders, psychotherapy must be used. Actually, this is officially called Nutritional Behavior Modification.

It is therapy or counseling that is targeting behaviors that are manifesting themselves in nutrition related matters.

Here at The Care Therapy Group we have the perfect combination of therapists who are uniquely credentialed. Not only are they Registered Dietitians/Certified Nutritionists, they are also mental health counselors.

Here is a sample of their credentials:

  • RD-CDN, PhD
  • RD-CDN, LMHC
  • RD-CDN, LBA

We are ready, willing and capable of treating those with eating disorders and/or disordered eating.

Compassionate nutrition and behavioral support for eating disorders, disordered eating, and healthier long-term relationships with food.

Nutritional Behavior Modification is a specialized service that combines nutrition counseling with behavioral support to help individuals develop healthier relationships with food. By addressing both nutrition and the behaviors that influence eating habits, we provide comprehensive care tailored to each person’s unique needs.

Our team supports individuals experiencing eating disorders as well as disordered eating patterns. We provide compassionate, individualized care that focuses on building healthier habits while supporting long-term physical and emotional well-being.

Conditions We Support

Our Nutritional Behavior Modification program provides support for individuals experiencing a range of eating disorders and disordered eating patterns, including:

  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Bulimia Nervosa
  • Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
  • Binge Eating Disorder
  • Selective and Picky Eating Challenges

We also support individuals experiencing disordered eating associated with developmental, medical, or behavioral conditions, including Prader-Willi syndrome and other clinical diagnoses.

An Integrated Approach to Care

Successful treatment often requires more than nutrition education alone. Nutritional Behavior Modification combines practical nutrition guidance with behavioral counseling to help individuals understand the thoughts, emotions, and habits that influence eating behaviors.

This integrated approach helps clients build healthier routines, improve confidence around food, and develop sustainable behaviors that support long-term health.

Experienced, Collaborative Support

Our team brings together qualified nutrition professionals and mental health counselors who work collaboratively to provide individualized care. By addressing both nutrition and behavior together, we are able to support each person’s physical, emotional, and nutritional well-being.
